Farm Visit for Rooms 1 & 2

Room 1 and 2 went to visit Gerry O’Donnell at the dairy farm that he manages.  They had a fantastic day being shown around the farm and looking at the day to day aspects of farming.  The children saw how a rotary milking shed works, had a ride on a tractor and lunch on the cliff tops.  They then saw a digger making a trench for water supply, watched calves being fed and interacted with the bobby calves.  They finished the day back in the milking shed watching the cows being milked.  It was a fun and interesting day out for everyone.
